On August 1, 2014, Livanta LLC becomes the Beneficiary and Family Centered Care QIO (BFCC-QIO) for Nevada, assuming responsibility for all QIO case reviews on behalf of Nevada Medicare beneficiaries.

Separate entities for medical review and quality improvement

Beginning August 1, 2014, the QIO Program will separate medical case review from quality improvement work. QIO work will be carried out in each state under two types of regional contracts:

  • Medical case review-to be performed by Beneficiary and Family Centered Care QIOs (BFCC-QIOs)
  • Quality improvement and technical assistance-to be performed by Quality Innovation Network QIOs (QIN-QIOs)
