National Rx Drug Take-Back Day, April 28

drug take-back day

April 28 is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, an opportunity to dispose safely of unneeded and potentially harmful medication. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time, medications can be brought to designated take-back sites. Collected medications will be secured and destroyed by law enforcement - helping avoid potential misuse, diversion or overdose.

The previous national take-back day, in October 2017, collected 912,305 lbs. of prescriptions (456 tons) at 5,321 collection sites.
