Nevada Physician Offices and Home Health Agencies to Receive Quality Award at HealthInsight Annual Quality Conference

Las Vegas — Seven Nevada physician offices and 11 home health agencies are being honored for their commitment to improving and promoting patient-centered care next week.

HealthInsight, a nonprofit, community-based collaborative working to improve health and health care for patients and providers, will present the 2017 Quality Award to the recipients Nov. 7 and Nov. 9 at the HealthInsight Annual Quality Conference at the Oquendo Center in Las Vegas and the Whitney Peak Hotel in Reno.

The HealthInsight Quality Award Program was launched in September 2004 to promote transparency in health care. Through the award, HealthInsight aims to assist providers, improve care and help consumers be more active and informed participants in that care.

The HealthInsight Quality Award for High Performance in the physician office setting recognizes high-performing clinics who have achieved above the 75th percentile benchmark on at least six clinical quality and/or patient experience measures for primary care clinics or four total for pediatric clinics.

The 2017 HealthInsight Quality Award for High Performance physician office recipients are Silver Sage Center for Family Medicine of Reno, Virginia City Community Health Center of Virginia City, Jackpot Community Health Center of Jackpot, Carson City School-Based Health Center of Carson City, Chamian Medical Group of Las Vegas, and North Las Vegas Family Health Center and Premium Family Care, both of North Las Vegas.

In order for home health agencies to be considered for the award, they must meet three criteria:

  1. The agency ranks in the 90th percentile using current ranking methods
  2. The agency has no condition of participation-level deficiencies on its last Medicare certification survey
  3. The agency demonstrates a quality improvement project that targets a quality measure and promotes at least one element of patient-centered care Press Release

The 2017 HealthInsight Quality Award home health recipients are Advent Home Health, Advocare Home Health LLC, Faith Home Health Care LLC, Life Wellness Home Health Agency LLC, Mother’s Care Home Health Services Inc., Reliance Health Care LLC and Royale Health Systems Inc., all of Las Vegas; and Eden Home Health of Reno, Genesis Home Health Services of Elko, Genesis Home Health Services Inc. of Ely and Mesa View Home Care LLC of Mesquite.

“We are extremely proud of these physician offices and home health agencies for their outstanding contributions to the patients and communities they serve,” said Jackie Buttaccio, quality improvement director for HealthInsight Nevada. “Health care is complex, and HealthInsight is happy to recognize these clinicians for this achievement.”

HealthInsight’s third annual Quality Conference, Be the Change: Strategies for Health Care Transformation, is a forum for learning and sharing knowledge and best practices among community providers. Local leaders and national experts will address today’s challenges and share strategies for engaging patients and improving quality, safety and value in health care.
