HealthInsight New Mexico Welcomes New Resident Project Coordinator

Taylor Dunlap has joined HealthInsight New Mexico as a resident project coordinator. As a project coordinator, Dunlap will participate in the development and management of project plans, contracts and reports, mainly in support of the New Mexico Coalition for Healthcare Value.
DunlapDunlap is currently a Master of Business Administration degree candidate in healthcare administration at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and will be completing a six-month residency at HealthInsight New Mexico to fulfill the requirements of the program.

“The health care system in our country is plagued by inefficiencies and the future is uncertain. This makes for an exciting time to pursue a career in health care because there is so much opportunity to reform and redefine the system as we know it to improve quality and create sustainability for future generations,” Dunlap said. “I pursued HealthInsight because the organization is at the forefront of quality improvement and is contracted with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on many exciting initiatives.”

Dunlap received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, Texas. He said that his passion for working in health care stems from working in the emergency room registration after high school.

“HealthInsight New Mexico has a strong relationship with Baylor’s MBA program,” said Margy Wienbar, executive director. “We anticipate benefiting from Taylor’s background in finance and interests in health policy and know he will gain much from the experts in place in HealthInsight and throughout the state.”
