End of Life Care: Are You Ready?
On April 4, 2016, HealthInsight Utah hosted a collaborative community event, "End of Life Care: Are You Ready?" to promote end of life care awareness and the importance of having planning conversations. Nearly 100 attendees joined together to participate in interactive presentations and discussions. The event addressed end of life care issues in Utah and encouraged community member input on planning conversations, policy change, and fostering alliances between patients and providers.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Steven Pantilat, engaged the audience in his discussion about palliative care, who should receive it, when you should receive it and why it is beneficial.
