Dr. Bateman is chairman of the Utah Board and the Management Board of Directors at HealthInsight. He has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Utah and is a nationally recognized expert in health quality improvement. He has practiced medicine in Utah for thirty-five years. He is a past president of the Utah Medical Association, former chair of the American Medical Association Council on Long Range Planning, and was selected as the Physician of the Year in 1993 by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Bateman is active on state, national and international levels to improve or organize health care. He served on the Utah Health Data Committee and on the Utah governor's task forces on cost containment, rural health systems, graduate medical education, and health care payment reform among others. He is a co-founder of DirectMD and of the Utah Partnership for Value-driven Healthcare.

Marc H. Bennett is president and CEO of HealthInsight Management Corporation (HMC), based in Salt Lake City, Utah. HMC serves as a holding company overseeing three separate 501(c)(3) organizations in Utah, Nevada and New Mexico, legally interlocked and with each state separately governed by its own board of directors and each with equal representation on the HMC Board of Trustees. Mr. Bennett has been CEO of HealthInsight for more than a decade and is past president of the American Health Quality Association, the trade association of state-based Quality Improvement Organizations while currently serving on the Quality Alliance Steering Committee at the national level and on the board of the Network for Regional Health Improvement. In Nevada, he is the vice chair of the Governor's Health Information Technology Blue Ribbon Task Force and initiated Chartered Value Exchanges in both Nevada and Utah.

Adam P. Segal has extensive experience in employee benefits plan design and corporate benefits plan documents. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bars of California and Nevada. He is a shareholder in the Brownstein Hyatt Farber Shreck law firm in Las Vegas, Nevada and part of the Employee Benefits Group. Mr. Segal earned his juris doctor degree at Santa Clara University School of Law.

Chris Bosse is the vice president of Government Relations for Renown Health. She provides strategic input and direction for developing and leading government relations and related community relations for Renown. She is responsible for educating federal and state legislators, government and community leaders about healthcare and what issues put Renown's safety net services at risk. Prior to her role in government relations her roles focused primarily in finance and ranged in scope from financial projects to vice president of finance for Renown Regional Medical Center, at that time, a 538 bed level II trauma center, and vice president of financial operations for Renown's Integrated Health Network. Ms. Bosse is a Certified Public Accountant and prior to joining Renown, she worked for Ernst and Young.

Rob Ence currently serves as the Executive Director for the Utah Commission on Aging. He also provides executive consulting for the Bateman Horne Center of Excellence, a non-profit research clinic. Previously Ence was the West Regional Vice President for AARP for five years after serving nine years as the AARP Utah State Director. Prior to AARP, Ence served as the CFO for Planned Parenthood of Utah and the Midtown Community Health Center in Ogden, Utah. Other career work included COO/CFO for Sage Creek Apparel Company and as a consultant for Sage Creek Management, a private business management firm. Ence has extensive experience in the financial services industry and previously served as the principle for small securities broker dealer. He began his career with Marriott Corporation in Santa Clara, CA and earned an MBA with an International Certification for Management from the University of Utah in 1991. Ence has lectured extensively on financial security and health care issues and has served on several boards of directors including HealthInsight Management Corporation, Envision Utah, and was a founding member of the Utah Commission on Aging. Ence resides with his spouse, Liz, in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have four children and sixteen grandchildren.

Dr. Kozoll blends his community health center practice with his role as chair of the New Mexico Clinical Prevention Initiative, a combined effort of the New Mexico Medical Society and the New Mexico Department of Health. Dr. Kozoll is a past CEO and medical director (1986-1992) for NMMRA and has continued to consult with HealthInsight New Mexico in support of its programs for many years. He is board certified in family practice, general preventive medicine, and quality assurance and utilization review.

Robert Boverie brings a strong private-sector business background beginning in 1971 to the present, largely as an entrepreneur, and is currently in partnership with his wife as a broker and realtor with Coldwell Banker Legacy in the Albuquerque metropolitan area. Mr. Boverie also acquired three years of experience in the not-for-profit arena as administrative director of Samaritan Counseling Center. He is grants and scholarship chair for the Rotary Club District Foundation. Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Boverie is active in donation programs for areas in need in Central America. He holds degrees from Texas Tech University in finance and Thunderbird School of International Management in Arizona.

Scott Rasgon Scott Rasgon, Chief of Nephrology, Kaiser Permanente, Los Angeles Medical Center

Dr. Rasgon is the chief of Nephrology at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center Nephrology Department and medical director of the Dialysis Unit. Dr. Rasgon has been practicing nephrology for over 30 years at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. Previously, he was director of the Nephrology Fellowship Program for more than 10 years. His research has led to more than 90 publications, abstracts and presentations. For the last 20 years, Dr. Rasgon has been senior editor of the Permanente Journal. He is a member of various national task forces on rehabilitation of dialysis patients and patient satisfaction.

Katrina Russell is the co-owner of Dialysis Consulting Group, Inc. (DCG) a dialysis consulting and management services organization. Katrina has been a registered nurse since 1981 and has practiced nephrology nursing since 1984. Katrina served four terms on the National Renal Administrators Association Board of Directors, including president, and is currently chair of the executive board of the Northwest Renal Network (ESRD Network 16). She previously served on the Network 16 Medical Review Board and has also contracted with Northwest Renal Network, and the Southeastern Kidney Council (ESRD Network 6) as a Quality Management Consultant.

Katrina has served in many roles within various dialysis settings from staff nurse to head nurse to administrative director in both hospital based and freestanding facilities and is presently contracted as the COO for a five facility non-profit dialysis company on the Olympic Peninsula near Seattle, Wash.

John Riherd is an attorney with the Riherd Law Office in Portland. He has more than 35 years of experience in healthcare law, operations, and management, working with health insurers, HMOs, third-party administrators, and welfare benefit trusts. He served as senior vice president and chief legal officer of The Regence Group (now Cambia Health), in charge of legal affairs in Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Idaho. Mr. Riherd also served as general counsel for other health plans, and is a co-founder of ReseLution, a company that audits medical practice reimbursements for underpayments from payers. He serves on the Health Policy Committee of the Oregon Business Association.

Beth Biggs is vice president of operations for Consonus Pharmacy, one of the largest long-term care pharmacies in the Pacific Northwest. In this position, she oversees the operational outcomes in service to approximately 15,000 seniors in skilled nursing and assisted living communities. Ms. Biggs has dedicated her 26-year career to post-acute services for seniors within the health care continuum. She currently serves on the Oregon Patient Safety Commission. Ms. Biggs holds a master's degree in public administration/health administration from Portland State University and a bachelor of social work degree from Minnesota State University.
