Bipartisan Senate Caucus Promotes Rural Health Quality Integration

Health importance

Co-chairs of the Bipartisan Senate Rural Health Caucus are considering the recommendations of the National Quality Forum’s (NQF) Rural Health Committee, which called for integrating rural providers into Medicare quality improvement programs. The caucus prepared a letter to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Sylvia Burwell on the topic and drafted a bill to legislate many of the NQF Rural Health Committee’s recommendations.
