Care Management: Taming Too Much of a Good Thing
Managed Care Magazine recently proposed that 2017 could see some changes in care coordination, especially involving care managers' attempts to reach patients after a hospital stay. According to a recent post, the magazine reported that patients receive on average "9.5 calls from care managers from the hospital, their primary care doctor's office, the insurance company, the emergency department, and others." The calls often go unanswered, but the amount of information patients receive can sometimes conflict or confuse. View the full article here.
