Malnutrition Awareness Week, Sept. 26-30

care coordination

Malnutrition Awareness Week aims to raise awareness among health care professionals of the potential for malnutrition in their patients or residents, and to consider assessing and intervening earlier. Its public-facing aspect works to help members of the community realize that they need to ask about their nutrition status and advocate for optimal nutrition care as much as possible. Check out the toolkit for malnutrition screening and assessment tools. Sponsored by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN).
